This past weekend, I had the joy of being a panelist for The Creative Union’s Mind, Body & Biz Retreat, a day dedicated to helping entrepreneurs, creatives, and small business owners realign and prepare for the final quarter of the year.
Our panel was designed to support participants mentally, physically, and spiritually — three essential elements for sustainable success. In my segment, I shared ways to feel emotionally and spiritually empowered while managing the natural pressures of business and creativity. I also provided practical ways to achieve alignment, clarity, and well-being. Because while strategy matters, our inner alignment determines how far that strategy can truly go.
One practice I encouraged attendees to try was to start meetings or work sessions with a moment of presence — even a single deep breath or an intentional question like “Who do I choose to be in this next hour?” can help shift your energy and reduce stress.

Here are a few other lessons from the day that can serve you as we move through the final quarter of 2025:
- Prioritize Presence Over Perfection — Pausing to connect with your breath or your body can increase clarity and reduce burnout.
- Make Movement Non-Negotiable — Whether it’s yoga, stretching, or dancing in your kitchen, movement resets your nervous system and boosts creativity.
- Systemize What You Can — Systemizing your business and personal tasks helps to eliminate burnout, frustration, and stress. It also maximizes your time and output.
These are the same principles that guide my work through the Transformation Through Joy (TTJ) Method, helping individuals and teams save time, money, and achieve success in sustainable ways that feel good.
It was a joy to share this information and experience in Detroit alongside other creators and wellness leaders — and to witness how much possibility opens up when we come together in spaces that nourish mind, body, and business alike.
